Tensions rise as the aftermath of a police clash involving opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari unfolds in Kolkata. Representatives of the Sikh community have initiated a sit-in protest outside the Padma Shibir state office, triggered by allegations of referring to a Sikh police officer as 'Khalistani' during the Dhamakhali clash.

An IPS officer from the Sikh community was allegedly labeled 'Khalistani' by BJP leaders, sparking protests by the Sikh community. As unrest permeates different parts of the state, including Kolkata, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad held an emergency press conference addressing the issue. While denying any BJP leader's involvement in making such a comment, Prasad expressed concern over the situation, emphasizing the injustice in the 'Khalistan' remark.
